Dear all,
I will be hosting this month's NanoGraz meeting and I am pleased to invite you to a talk on practical aspects of numerical modeling of systems with 2D Axial Symmetry in COMSOL Multiphysics this week, Thursday the 21st, at 14:00. We’ll be meeting at the Institute of Physics (Universitätsplatz 5) - experimental physics library (S05-01-0122), which is upstairs on the first floor.
My main focus is on numerical calculations in optics and I plan to cover topics such as calculations of scattering cross-section spectra, optical forces, and multipole decomposition. The aim of the presentation is to give an insight into the efficient modeling of nanostructures with 2d axial symmetry and their interaction with light and to show that sometimes taking into account the symmetry of the system can significantly speed up calculations.
Best regards,
Sergei Gladyshev
