It is with great pleasure that I announce that this months NanoGraz meeting will take place on Tuesday, 28.03.2023, at 15:30. We will meet up in the 4th floor of Heinrichstraße 28 in the Seminar room.
Since I am a member of the AG Quantum Chemistry which focuses on computational and theoretical chemistry, the meeting is currently planned to consist of
- a presentation intended to give an overview on the research topics of our research group and what can be done with the methods at our disposal
- hopefully a hands-on mini-workshop where you can experience first-hand how to perform quantum mechanical calculations on molecules (i.e., reaction mechanisms etc.) and possibly solids/surfaces.
Unfortunately, the second part of the program is a little dependent on the number of attendees, since the space in the computer room is unfortunately limited to around 12 workstations; possibly, computers would have to be shared, I hope this will not end up being too cramped.
For this reason, I kindly ask you to send me a notification in case you want to attend the event, so I can plan in advance if the second part of the program in particular needs to be adjusted accordingly to the number of attendees.
